Cultivate Wonder.

"I am never alone in this wild place"
- Richard Nelson

Join us at Haven Forest School, a tuition-free nature immersion program serving homeschool families with K-6th grade students in the Colorado Springs area.

Children are healthier and happier when given time and space to grow outdoors; developing a sense of wonder, empathy, and creativity through intentional teaching and wonder-led learning.

Haven Forest School gathers weekly at our outdoor forest classrooms with trained Forest School teachers to study and play in the natural world. Our nature-based curriculum integrates science, literature, poetry, art, handwork, building, cooking, and music to create a community of nature learners!

Haven educates children in the truest and fullest sense by cultivating wonder and love for all that is genuinely true, good, and beautiful and by giving them the necessary tools of learning. Haven serves to cultivate whole-person education; providing rich science, arts, and nature courses in the classical tradition. Dedicated to forming a spirit of care and connection between children and the natural world, Haven thrives with family partnership and fosters a sense of purpose and participation. Haven School is authorized by Education ReEnvisioned BOCES as a public homeschool enrichment program.

At Haven we intentionally teach and follow our four practices:

Wonder-Led Learning

Active Attention

Purposeful Creating

Storytelling

never be indoors when you can rightly be without.
