Think Outside.

CULTIVATE WONDER

Join us at Haven Forest School, a state-funded nature immersion program serving homeschool families with K-6th grade students in the Colorado Springs area.

Children are healthier and happier when given time and space to grow outdoors; developing a sense of wonder, empathy, and creativity through intentional teaching and wonder-led learning.

Haven Forest School gathers weekly at our outdoor forest classrooms with trained Forest School teachers to study and play in the natural world. Our nature-based curriculum integrates science, literature, poetry, art, handwork, building, cooking, and music to create a community of nature learners!

Haven School serves to cultivate whole-person education; providing rich academic, arts, and nature courses in the classical tradition practiced in a natural-world learning environment alongside an invested collective of teachers, parents, and community support. Dedicated to forming a spirit of care and connection between children and the natural world, Haven Forest School thrives with family engagement and fosters a sense of purpose and participation. Haven School is authorized by Education ReEnvisioned BOCES as a public homeschool enrichment program.

At Haven we intentionally teach and follow the four following practices:

Wonder-Led Learning

Active Attention

Purposeful Creating

Nature + Classical Literacy

never be indoors when you can rightly be without.
