Haven Forest School

Haven Forest School is a state-funded homeschool enrichment program. We are offering our program remotely for the 2020-2021 school year to families who are choosing to stay home.

 

In order to meet the requirements of the Colorado Department of Education students must actively participate in the Haven Forest School program for a minimum of 180 hours of instruction time. This is an average of 6.5 hours/week for the 28 weeks the program is offered.

 

Each month you will collect your Forest School Box at a pickup location in Black Forest. This box will contain your lesson plans and materials for a month of learning in the outdoors.

 

Join us online weekly for a Morning Time filled with stories, poetry, and overview of the week's box and for our Nature Notebooking class. (Classes are also recorded for your scheduling convenience.)

 

Sign on to our online learning platform Canvas to mark your lessons as complete and keep track of your hours. Haven School directors and teachers will stay connected with you weekly to offer support and accountability.
